FAQs
Your questions answered
Can’t find what you are looking for?
Is the price really guaranteed?
Absolutely! As long as the condition selected by you matches the cars actual condition, we guarantee you will receive the price quoted.
Do you charge any fees?
No. We don’t charge any fees for selling your car to us. We will give you 100% of the price offered with no extra fees to pay.
What if the condition, service history or any other things are selected incorrectly?
There is no pressure to sell your car to us and any discrepancies will be fully explained and pointed out at appraisal. We will simply adjust the figure and agree a new price which both parties are happy with.
How long does the process take?
The process will take approximately 30 minutes to complete as long as all documentation is present and correct and there are no unforeseen delays.
When will I receive the payment?
The payment will be made directly into your chosen bank account via BACS. The funds will arrive in your bank account within 3 days of your transaction.
What if I have outstanding finance?
We will happily settle any outstanding finance and refund you the difference. If you have a settlement greater than the value of the car, we can take the car and the remaining difference by debit card or bank transfer to settle your finance agreement. Please ensure you have an up-to-date settlement figure from your finance provider, or ask one of our appraisers to help obtain a current finance settlement figure for you.
What if I have a private registration plate?
If you wish to retain your private plate, our vehicle appraisers are happy to guide you through the process of how to do this.
Can I sell more than one car to you?
The registered keeper of the car would need to be present in order to complete the transaction.
Do I need to inform the DVLA that I have transferred ownership to you?
Yes, you need to inform the DVLA when you have sold a car. You can do this online via the DVLA website – https://www.gov.uk/sold-bought-vehicle. You will need the 11 digit reference number from your V5 logbook. If you need assistance with this, please ask one of our Vehicle Appraisers.
What about my car tax and insurance?
When you inform the DVLA that you have sold your car, if a car tax refund is due this will be issued to you automatically. You will need to cancel your car insurance by contacting your insurance provider directly once ownership has been transferred to us.
